GVCC 4th Annual Sports & Fitness Camp

Grace Valley Christian Center held its fourth annual Sports & Fitness Camp from June 12 to June 15. The theme of the camp was Ephesians 5:8: “Live as children of the light.” Ninety-one enthusiastic campers, ranging in age from kindergarten to ninth grade, were encouraged to live all of their lives “in the light”—honoring God by being born again and doing what He requires. For three hours each day, expert coaches also taught campers various football, baseball, basketball, hockey, soccer, and volleyball skills, as well as how to develop healthy eating and exercise habits. Campers then applied these skills at the end of each day by participating in age-appropriate games.

The high point of the camp was the last day. After an all-camp relay race, campers and their families gathered at GVCC, where they enjoyed a delicious barbecue lunch, followed by a raffle and awards ceremonies for each age group. The weather was perfect all week, no significant injuries were sustained, and God watched over the camp to make it successful again this year.
